 New Year’s Reality Check Another year, another chance
To start our lives anew;
This time we’ll leap old barriers
To have a real breakthrough. We’ll take one little step
And then we’ll take one more,
Our unlimited potential
We’ll totally explore. We’ll show off all our talents
Everyone will be inspired;
We’ll give up all bad habits; We’ll read and learn a lot,
All our goals will be accomplished,

Held on 3 days of 31 October, 1st & 2nd November, the Erasmus Mundus symposium on geography, earth and environmental studies took place in Lisbon-Portugal. This program had been initiated by the EM International Master on Geospatial Technologies and 12 other EM programs relative to geology, earth and environmental studies have been invited to participate. From IMRD, Yazdan Soltanpour has presented a work titled "Tectonic assessment of Alborz and Zagros mountains". Apart from the work presentations of students, there have also been presentations by professors from Munster and Lisbon universities on GIS application and even on general facts such as academic writing. This program has been sponsored by Erasmus Mundus Student and Alumni Association (EMA) and they declared that programs such that incorporate different programs of EM (and in some cases the inter-programme initiatives) can be covered by EMA. It had been encouraged to hold this symposium every year by one of the 13 EM relative programs. When shall be IMRD's turn? |

Hello Dear IMRDans!
You can see the Profiles and CVs of the 2 candidates: Mr. Yazdan Soltanpour and Mr. Thaneswar Bhandari here in the IMRD-A website. The CVs and profiles are uploaded and available for all :)
However, with only 2 candidacies, we can't have the elections anymore. After several meetings of the active members, the agreement was that there's no sense on holding elections with 2 people for 5 positions. Personal invitations have been sent to some IMRDans so we are waiting for at least 3 people to reply so we can can a complete new board! Otherwise, there will be a rearrangement in team positions to conform the new board in the following days.
